THE POWER OF MY HANDS

The Power of My Hands is a celebratory homage to the designer’s German grandmother who was a typically subordinate housewife and her punk mother who was a pioneer in the male-dominated world of IT, who both taught her the importance of being oneself and standing up for women’s rights. Through this knitwear collection, Tatjana examines traditional craftsmanship and its relationship  to politics. She asks: How can feminism be expressed through craft today? A warrior in soft armour? Why do we need to talk more about women’s genitalia?
