KÜTRÁN: Depersonalization in the Age of Hyperconsumption
Inspired by the Mapuche concept of mapu kütran - an illness caused by disrupting the balance between people and nature - this collection explores the environmental and cultural consequences of hyperconsumption. Responding to the global textile waste crisis and the rapid cycle of fast fashion, it transforms discarded materials into versatile, functional garments through upcycling and sustainable design practices. By prioritizing durability, craftsmanship, and conscious production, the collection challenges planned obsolescence while questioning the loss of identity driven by disposable trends. It ultimately positions fashion as a vehicle for environmental responsibility, cultural respect, and a more conscious, lasting relationship between people, clothing, and the planet.
