Ordinary Things
Ordinary Things is a collection rooted in collage art, deconstructing everyday waste like receipts, plastic bags, newspapers as both personal traces and consumerist symbols. It critically examines how consumerism alienates identity through purchasing, while using that same symbolic language to ironically reverse the alienation. The series bridges avant-garde combine art with fashion design, transforming consumption remnants into sublimation prints on leftover wool and discarded textiles. By combining soft and hard materials, it redefines the aesthetic and functional value of ordinary daily items.
