Corals bloom in hypnotic hues, creatures glow in aposematic signals of warning and wonder. Colours blaze with unnatural brilliance and textures pulse with a life of their own. OCEANA is an entirely Shima Seiki knitted collection that channels the surreal beauty of Australia's marine dreamscape.
Inspired by aposematic marine life, OCEANA captures the vibrancy, movement, and complexity of Mother Nature. Every textile print began as hand-drawn oil pastel studies of native Australian aposematic sealife then translated into jacquard knits, merging traditional mark-making with advanced knitting technology. OCEANA reminds us that the planet's most mesmerising creations are worth protecting.
