Dimock

Iteration II

Dimock is an exploration of menswear and workwear throughout history, translated into a contemporary wardrobe. It brings together a contemporary lens with an archaic design sensibility to create garments that are simple, practical, and versatile. With a strong attachment to sustainability, Dimock garments are made entirely from natural materials to age gracefully alongside the wearer.

Sustainability
Sustainability is interminably tied to my work. I use 100% natural materials, including fabrics made from natural fibres (some vintage/second-hand or dead stock), Organic Cotton and Tencel threads, Corozo Nut buttons, and biodegradable cotton interfacing. All garments are sewn by me in my Ōtepoti studio in very small runs.

Diversity
With Dimock, I hope to provide a space for people - regardless of age, ethnicity, gender, or sexuality - to interact with and explore menswear/workwear through a shared passion for clothing. Dimock is a study of how people have worn and used garments throughout time, and that study continues with the garments I now produce and the people who choose to wear them.
