ANTIPODEAN

14SD is a contemporary fashion label founded by New Zealand designer Cynthia Liu and Dutch music producer Jonathan Kievit (IMANU). The brand grew from our different backgrounds and our shared interest in fashion, music and culture. Our clothes sit somewhere between tailoring and everyday wear,  working with relaxed, unisex silhouettes, asymmetry and texture, with a darker edge, yet keeping the clothes simple enough to wear and live in. We care about how a garment feels, moves, and works in real life, not just how it looks in a photograph. What we see and experience in our lives often finds its way into the collections, like a piece of workwear, a building, a piece of music or something as simple as everyday life. We don't follow trends, but take what interests us and make it our own. We choose good materials and pay attention to construction and details.

Sustainability
At 14SAINTDENIS (14SD), sustainability begins with creating garments people want to wear for years, not just for one season. We aim to design timeless collections with silhouettes that remain relevant across occasions and lifestyles, encouraging fewer, more meaningful purchases. We produce in limited quantities, using natural fibres and eco-dye techniques wherever possible.

Diversity
Founded by a Chinese designer from New Zealand and a Dutch music producer, 14SD brings together different cultures and creative perspectives, which is reflected in our designs, which move beyond traditional dress codes and offer versatility across occasions, celebrating individuality, identity, and personal expression.
