URBAN TRIBAL

There are many indigenous communities in Bangladesh and each has its own culture and tradition with its own tribal fabric. Traditionally, tribal people have used cotton produced on the hill slopes and they have made the yarn for weaving and used natural colours for dyeing. By reintroducing traditional tribal fabrics and merging them with contemporary denims and khadi, the designer seeks to rediscover her native culture and reinterpret it for a new generation.
