UN REAL

Blurring the line between the real and UN REAL, this collection explores the illusion of life given to animals through taxidermy.  The collection engages with animal skin, manipulating it into a new context. The American cowboy — strongly associated with cowhide leather — is reimagined in a style which Vladimiroff describes as ‘contemporary cowgirl meets taxidermy kitsch.’ Details of Western clothing are referenced and recreated in plush fabrics and heavily embroidered, elevating them from their workwear origins.
