SEE ME

Mei’s collection ‘See Me’ is fully knitted. She knitted half of the fabric on a domestic knitting machine using fine lycra and the other half are knitted rayon panels made by a company in Sydney. Mei’s collection was inspired by women who are empowered by their bodies; she wanted to illustrate something that was powerful, provocative and intelligent at the same time. Her collection is a conversation about  navigating female sexuality and exploring an alternate meaning for women to expose their bodies. She drew inspiration from images of women in nightclubs in the 1980s to and the resulting collection celebrates women and the female form.
